NEW WAY FORWARD AWARDED FUNDING FOR MENS AND LADIES GROUP AT
Sale Lion’s Family Fun Day – 18 June 2017

Father’s Day Summer Fete organised and funded by Sale and District Lions Club

Locality Partnership Make Sale Smile’ Voluntary Sector Grant scheme event was open to groups and individuals who were encouraged to apply for a share of the £20,000 grants pot.

The aim of the scheme was to support local groups, with grants of up to £1,500 (constituted groups) and £300 (unconstituted groups) for their project ideas which will ultimately benefit Sale and its residents.

New Way Forward applied for funding for Mens and Ladies Group where they had a standto promote awareness and reduce stigma of mental health and were successful.

     A volunteers event that took place at the Sunshine Cafe at the Sale West community centre which enabled different organizations to network and exchange information on volunteering opportunities.

From September 2015 we have joined a partnership of organizations and expanded our role to include the delivery of raising the awareness of the impact of mental health to employers and advising how this can be addressed. The aim is to reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

New Way Forward had a stand at the The Trafford Business Expo.The event is designed to showcase the array of companies based and trading in Trafford and further afield across Greater Manchester. The event provides a unique opportunity for businesses to meet and network with new suppliers, clients and partners.
